Biography

Zachary Kaiser is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and Experience Architecture in the Department of Art, Art History, and Design at Michigan State University. An experience designer and music producer, he earned his MFA in design from the Dynamic Media Institute at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2013. Prior to his appointment at Michigan State, Zach cofounded Skeptic, a Boston-based research and design collective, and served as a visiting lecturer in several undergraduate and graduate design programs in Boston. Much of Zach’s award-winning commercial design work, including a regional ADDY award and an appearance in Print Magazine’s Regional Design Annual, was created during his early professional years in his home city of Madison, Wisconsin. He now devotes much of his energy to his artistic and scholarly pursuits, exhibiting and lecturing both in the U.S. and internationally, including recent appearances at the IMPAKT Festival in Utrecht, The Netherlands, and Relating Systems Thinking and Design 3, in Oslo, Norway.
